  1. tell her its only fair if one sibling gets a comp that the others do

otherwise plead the educaton card , you baisically need one for school

  2. Well, who's computer are you on now?

  3. Unless she doesn`t trust you for some reason, you can tell her that it would be easier for you to have your own pc to do your homework on and to email your teacher in case you have any questions. You can tell her that you will limit yourself to homework and only 2 hrs a day of personal use, ie: playing games or chatting to friends.

Then show her that you are doing what you said and being responsible.

  4. Well, why does your brother have one and you don't? Does he have some use for it that you don't? If so, I wouldn't play the "fair" card, particularly if he's older and actually NEEDS one.

I think you need to show her you have a NEED for one and not just a WANT for one. Children don't always get what they want but they should certainly have what they need.

That said, it might be a hard sell on getting a computer all your own if you have access to a family computer for your needs.

  5. Tell her you won't play games on it... and don't do the sneaky thing and play behind her back.

If you really need a computer that's one thing... but most young people squander their time with the stupid games... and that's the root of your problem.

  6. Be responsible show her that you are worthy to have a comp.

if she sees that then she will only feel happy to get you one!

be on your p`s and q`s
