How to convince my mom that i should wear skirts in school

im in 10th grade and i really wanna get some skirts but my parents are being weird about it[saying that boys are gonna put their hands up there.] i mean i intend on putting on leggings[duh]

but seriously all i wear is [long]jeans and im really getting tired of it!!!!

Tell them that you are going to wear leggings and that you would not tolerate boys putting there hands up there.

Tell them that you'll wear leggings underneath, and if any boys try anything like that, you'll kick them in the balls! (I think that sexual harassment is one of those extreme situations where the guy deserves it).

but ask them to respect your sense of individuality and style, also tell them that they should be able to trust your maturity level in knowing limits and that you wouldn't let it get that far to begin with

Show them the outfit you plan on wearing (including leggings) and make sure to promise to never wear the skirt without the leggings.

And they are right you know --- I wore skirts to school and guys were constantly trying to do really inappropriate things. Leave it to teenage boys to be total idiots.

TRY BUYING ONE AND WEARING IT TO SCHOOL OR AROUND THE HOUSE (WITH THE LEGGINGS) AND SEE WHAT SHE SAYS. OR YOU COULD ALWAYS HAVE HER PICK YOU UP FROM SCHOOL AND HAVE A COUPLE OF YOUR GIRLFRIENDS WEAR SOMETHING LIKE YOU WANT TO WEAR TO SCHOOL AND TELL HER HOW MUCH YOU LIKE THEIR OUTFIT. I AM SURE SHE WILL ALLOW IT. START OFF WITH A LONGER SKIRT IF SHE IS UNCOMFORTABLE.

there isnt away to convince them. i've seen on tv alot about how teenage guys taking there cell phone with a camera on it and taking pictures of under girl skirts. that's probally another reason why they wont let you. good luck

Just show them the outfit that you want. If they still say no, deal with it. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but you ARE still a minor and they CAN still tell you what to do. Respect them for trying to do what's best for you.
