How to convince my parents.....?

Question

to buy me the wii for my birthday. I really want one but my dad doesn't want to get me one because it costs so much including games and an extra controller. Plus I'm already a couch potato all day I just sit around listening to my ipod, going online, and watching tv. He doesn't want to get me another technological thing. Plus he's also a little worried that once I get it, something better and cooler is going to come out and I won't want to play it anymore but I will! I already get straight A's in school so I can't exactly tell them that I'll do better if they get me the wii. I think it's mainly the cost that worries my dad. So how can I convince them to get me it? thxx =)

i think you shouldn't be so selfish and not get it

or you can say you wont ask for a birthday present for the next 2 years

or you can say, i wont need a christmas present or you can say ill do "clean teh house -- or something else" for 3 weeks

i know you really want this but lets not be selfish here. your dad works and gets paid, im sure if he was really rich, he would get u this expensive thing. try to ask for somethign else.

tell your dad youll be his best friend if he buys you a wii. never fails.

Tell him that you'll get Wii Fit, which is an active video game, sometimes referred to as an "exergame".

talk to your mom or you can show him wii sports and wii fit and he might change his mind caus the wii is like no other system motion sensors it is awsome

Since your a couch potatoe, you should try helping out around the house. Do your own laundry if you dont already do that, help with dishes and pick up more around the house. maybe if your dad sees that your so commited to getting the wii, that you'll stop being a couch potatoe to get it. good luck!:]

Try showing them the costs of a Playstation 3 and an Xbox360, and that the Wii is the cheapest of the 3 platforms, and maybe compared to the cost of the other two platforms, he will see that the Wii is the best for you.

i have the same problem with my parents to get me a laptop. just butter them up, do the dishes, make em coffee whatever. just seem like the perfect daughter and regularly talk positively about the wii. whenever an ad for it comes up, gove ur parents a puppy dog look.

okay tell him gamestop ha the cheapest game sytsems and that the wiss there only cost 200 it comes with the wii sports game where u atcually hav to  work out then say dad im kindalazy and i dont wanna b outa shape!!!!! so can i plz plz plz hav it worked 4 my parents;)
