How to convince my parents to let me get my belly button pierced?

okay so me and my friend really wanna get our belly button pierced.

and i need to convince my parents to let me get it.

so any ideas or suggestions?

oh and i play soccer, so will that interfere with anything?

That depends on how old you are.  Most piercers, especially if they are good (which you definitely want them to be!), won't even pierce someones belly button until they are 16 because of your body's growth.  If your body grows after you get it then your piercing will be stretched right out of your body, and it's not that pleasant.  (my friend experienced this every time she got it pierced)  I got mine done when I was 16.  Tell your parents that it's not a really invasive piercing, it's under clothing for most of the time, it's not like a piercing on your face or any weird body part.  Good luck, and make sure that you look into the piercers license because although it isn't mandatory for them to have one it means they have had training!  

Also, it will hurt if you get hit by another player or a soccer ball.  Also watch out for when you are toweling dry after a shower because the towel can hurt it...experienced this the hard way!

if you get your belly pierced, you need to leave it in for a while till it heals. if you take it out, it might close REALLY fast.

and it's bad, because you can't take it out for soccer, and my piercer said that some chick got her belly piercing riped out because she didn't take her belly piercing out when she played
