My goal in life is to reveal to the world that living the 9 to 5 lifestyle and focusing on material things is not the way to go. Relax, do what you want to do and don't give much thought to other peoples opinion. You can't store time or memories, you can't invest fun... I suppose i should just be the change or something.. any suggestions would be very helpful.

  1. ask jesus, you can't. he figured that out and instead of convincing, just invented religion and got people to listen that way, but that didn't work. it backfired into the middle ages, and then went back to like it was before, but with electricity. so you need religion 2.0, the same, but better, without the weaknesses.

  2. I find your goal very noble, but if you really want to make a difference, start by yourself, be an example, volunteer, make changes in your neighborhood, because there's a difference between talking and actually doing something. If you find you still have time to help others you need to focus your efforts in one area, and since there are so many areas in which you can help, that won't be a problem.

here's some organisations you may find helpfull

btw, most times people need to work, in order to support themselves

  3.    There are people who do this that go by the names:  scions, oil barons, inheritors, royalty, ambitious hard workers, coupon clippers, etc.  Generally speaking, their means arise out of genius, well-managed good luck, inheritance, power, thievery and in many cases, enlightened bummery, to coin a word.

I have a hunch that you could master the latter which is probably the toughest route because it takes making a lot of somethings out of a lot of nothings, and your paragraph seem to chart a road map to a huge nowhere cache of nothings.

  4. A very grandiose adventure, indeed!

Enlist credible people. Produce the DVD.

  5. You're starting to feel the change that's happening in the world right now... we're going past post-modern and into something new.  Not everyone perceives it, and those who perceive it don't really know what to expect, but it's in all of our DNA.  Some associate 2012 with this, others say it's spiritual or societal evolution in progress.  There is a better way to live life other than the rat race.  Thanks for reminding me!

  6. ...be rich like bill gates and donate 20 million dollars...

  7. THIS IS VERY SIMPLE:

YOU CONVINCE THE WORLD BY LIVING IT YOURSELF SO THEY CAN BE EASILY CONVINCED.

But though I have to say we humans are sadly materialistic beings.

  8. I would like to know the answer to this too ^^. You've got it right, good job :)

  9. You can get a lot of ideas at www.care2.com and find likeminded people there as well. Give it a try.

I feel that in the coming generations this idea of pursuing material gain is going to become secondary. There will be a priority given to the sustaining of our environment (the "Green" way of living) and this might cause all sorts of innovations in how we live our daily lives.

Yes, you can be a catalyst for change by living your ideals. Hey, start up a "Blog" online somewhere, or get a Forum going on the "New World Order" , start a new Group in care2.com, and introduce topics similar to your ideal way of living.

    Good luck!

  10. amen brother

  11. first of all, there is no one path that will satisfy everyone. im guessing youre living proof of that. the 9 to 5 lifestyle is best for some people, people who love acceptance and security. this is not me, but who am I to tell them they're wrong?

two, even if one  different path was better for everyone, there are people who won't change, conservatives who think "what i do now works just fine, why change it? don't tell me how to run my life!" and even if they sound angry and clueless, they're ironically right about how we should'nt try to force beliefs on people. so I guess thats two ways of saying the same thing

under any circumstances, materialism is bad, but no one thinks it of themselves, just like no villain considers himself evil.

I would instead make it my mission to encourage people to be more willing to try different things, but like you said, do what you want and enjoy life.

  12. I like your idea and I would give anything to quit my 9 to 5, but this girl has gots to pay bills. Doing what I want to do doesn't support my family. It's a good theory though.

  13. I like your goal, but it is very hard to convince people there wrong. People have been trying to convince people to this for forever. My suggestion is to become a public speaker. Maybe a website going. it is hard to say how to do this, but i've heard speeches that made me want to devote my life to what the speaker was talking about. All i can say is anything is possible and if you want the world to know this you will. You have enough determination you will become the next martin luther king.

    Good luck man

  14. get a job..

  15. its kind of arrogant to think you can teach people this, and there are rewards to being disciplined and working hard your whole life, even if its not as enjoyable as relaxing. but I do sort of agree with you. teach by example if you want people to listen, you know what they say, actions speak 1000x louder than any words.

  16. there is no need to convince the world.... if you are happy it will show on your  face .

  17. the best way to lead is by example. Just do it!
