How to convince your parents to let you get an airsoft gun?

my parents let me play paint ball and everything and let me do airsoft at a friends house but they wont let me buy one because they say that i dont have a place to use it AT MY HOUSE. they say they dont want neighbors to see me using it because our backyard can easially be see

any ways to convince them?

I also ran into this exact problem. First off, stress the fact that you and your friends will always use eye protection and will never shoot anyone who does not have protection on or does not want to be shot. Also you could purchase a clear airsoft gun so it doesn't look like a real gun. And if you have young siblings, tell your parents that you will keep it in a safe place where it won't be a problem. I ran into this exact same problem, so if you reassure them that you will not use it at your house and you are purchasing it so as to have your own weapon while at your friends house it should help. I don't know what kind of neighborhood you live in but personally I live in a less understanding one where more people are likely to have real guns and turn it on me so I wouldn't advise trying to use it anywhere but your friend's house.

Also it helps if you're paying for it yourself or at least helping to pay for it to show that you are responsible enough to own the weapon. Meaning you'll abide by the rules and not shoot the neighbor's cat or something.

Ok you can do what i did and tell your parent u will wear thick clothes and safety goggles. you can tell your neighbors its a fake gun and its legal because it will have an orange tip..... (dont take the orange tip off if u dont already know it illegal and make cops "mistake" it for real if they still say no then keep buggin em they just might give in... i hope i helped

Im sorry, but unless you live in a very secluded area, airsofting at your house is a very bad idea. The cops dont care if you have an orange tip, what is to stop people from painting a real gun orange? Besides, in most states once the gun has cleared customs it is legal to remove the orange tip. It is very frustrating seeing people who think having an orange tip makes everything ok.

Go to google and search "*Your state* airsoft field"

Tell your parents that you will buy a target or even make one and will only shoot it at that. Reassure them that you will leave the orange tip on it (even if it doesn't look as real) and people knw that if it has on orange tip on it, it isn't a real gun.    !!Good Luck!!
