  1. Be flexible in the core and hips. Flexibility is often underestimated, but it helps tremendously with movement and speed. The more flexible you are in your core, the easier you can slip and move your head.

When you bob, don't actually bend at the waist; use your legs to get low, and then draw a "U" with your forehead. Once you start to get into the rhythm, focus on leg positioning. When you come up from a bob, try putting some more weight on one of your legs. That way, you are setting up for the punch, and have the balance to do so. For example, you bob under a right hook or slip a straight (assuming you're orthodox). Your weight should be on your lead leg; that is, the left. You are now perfectly set up for a fully loaded left hook. After you throw the hook, weave under to the right, and you just dodged his counter hook. It's all about flow. Know your body and you will be able to bob, weave, and throw punches fluidly.

Faster bobbing and weaving comes with practice. Try using a rope as a guide for bobbing and weaving under. And stretch, stretch, stretch. The less tense you are in your core, the more fluid you can bob and weave.

  2. Go to the local bookstore and find some good boxing workout and training books that teach technique and good boxing form.  Then hit the gym and work on it constantly.  Also if you are serious about boxing, find you a good trainer that can really teach you.  Also watch some good boxing films of fighters that used that technique in the ring to see how they did it.
