  2. it's really hard...but you have the edge in KNOWING that they're panic attacks, and not anything else.  you just have to really try and remember that you know it when it's happening and wait for it to pass, as it will, as it always does.  It's amazing how well your body can trick you into believing that something is happening.  I would steady myself and breath and repeat to myself over and over...it's about to pass, it's nothing, I'm fine.

I wish you luck.  Hang in there!  Panic attacks are the WORST!  If you aren't able to conquer them, you can definitely get assistance whether with therapy, or therapy combined with medication.

  3. you need Ativan (lorazepam) - or a med like Paxil or Celexa

  4. SLOW DEEP BREATHING

  5. deep breathing, and try to do a little excercise. Run on the spot, jumping jack, whatever. It gets the extra adrenaline out of your body taht comes when you panic

  6. obviously, your not coping well. I've had sever panic attacks. two in the past month. they were really bad. I was unresponsive for like two hours straight on the second one. IDK what to tell you, except its more than likely cause from stress.

  7. Panic is the elder brother of fear. Why fear? When we have our self-confidence, we should not give room for any panic. Try to know how to forgive. Sometime we should know how to forgive our own faults. Thus rehabilitate your mind with boldness and courage. Do not repeat the mistakes in life. Reform. If you give fear, you get fear. Everything rebounds.

  8. Most importantly, remember to breathe.  Look around the room.  Remind yourself that you are in the here and now.  Count how many blue things are in the room.  How many red?  Call someone.  Read.  Watch a movie.  Wrap yourself up in a blanket.  These are some of the things that work for me.  Hope it helps.

  9. by definition YOU don't cope well.... the idea is to keep people around you, or nearby who knows how to help, a family member or neighbor is best.

  11. I AM SORRY YOU ARE GOING THROUGH THIS.FIRST OF ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR NOT THE ONLY ONE TO EVER GO THROUGH THIS.You must remind yourself that no matter what you feel it is normal.Your body is dealing with stress through physical reactions. You have to accept what you are going through and let your body and the attack take its course. The day you accept that the panic is normal and your no longer afraid of it the panic goes away. There is an awesome book called "HOPE AND HELP FOR YOUR NERVES" by Clair Weeks.Awesome book it will help you.

  12. I use to get them all the time.

People can get them in all different ways, not everyones panic attacks are the same.

    This is what helped me.

I would get out of breath where it felt like I was going to pass out, so I would breath in a paper bag. and have someone bring me a water bottle.

also when I had really bad ones I'd feel dizzy like I was flying in the air. so I'd sit on the floor so I knew I was indeed on the ground.

    That's just what I did.

people get all different kinds of panic attacks. so I hope I helped alittle!

  13. do some deep breathing. Also, there are songs out there that help to relax the bosy like ocean waves and things like that. I personally like guided meditation, which is a mp3 and a relaxing voice coaches you through breathing and mind excercises to help calm you down while soft music plays in the background, it gets me sooooo relaxed.

Consult a doctor if none of those thigns help
