    You should get Clone DVD and AnyDVD. They work as a team to backup your DVDs. They aren't free forever but you can use them free for 21 days.

    AnyDVD makes the copy guard invisible so any copy program will work.

    Clone DVD lets you make an exact copy if you want but you can also strip off previews, extra languages, extra sound tracks etc. The result reduces the size so less compression is needed resulting in a better picture.

  2. yeah try http://anydvd.com use this software to take the copy protection off and yes u can use the free trial for a  few days then u have to buy it if u wanna keep it then use nero to transfer the dvds the hard drive on your mac http://nero.com and this has a free trial also
