Question:

How to copy photos to DVD, including ability to update later with new photos?

I have a ton of photos (mostly .jpg and .png) on my hard drive that I would like to copy to DVD to free up space and to share with relatives and friends. I would like the DVD to have the same folder & subfolder structure as on the hard drive.

In the future, I would like to accumulate new pictures on my hard drive, and then copy them to the DVD, having the pictures automatically land in the correct folder/subfolder.

I don't want the relatives to have to buy any special software.

How should I create the DVD?

How should I update it?

  1. Make sure you have a DVD bruner first.  After this, the simplest way is to drag the files to the DVD drive (using windows explorer).  It will leave the session open and you can add files later.  If you use a dedicated software, they should have the option to not close the disc so you can add more later.

  2. I would recommend you download VSO CopytoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, on windows, never had a problem!

it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it

you can download CopytoDVD from vso official site here:

  3. Buy a rewritable DVD and just copy-paste the folder containing the photos in the DVD drive (in my computer a drive created on insert of DVD) ...you can also right click your folder and click sent to DVD...
