  1. in a broadcast domain if you send a broadcast at one port it will arrive to all other ports in the network, for example i you have computers connected to the same switch, routers does not pass broadcast

    so, as long as there is no router, it is still the same broadcast domain, in other words any groups of hubs and switches are always in the same broadcast domain, a router will divide the network into 2 or more broad cast domains.

    a switch will divide the network into more than one collision domain, each port of then switch is in a separate collision domain.

    all ports of a hub are in the same collision domain
