We recently moved into a newly built neighborhood (renting) and none of the houses have fences. I have a dog so my landlord and i agreed on building a fence. We talked to the neighbor about it sence they want to build one too, and I showed them what fence we were building (sence we all want the fences to look the same) Anyways, they were able to build their fence a weekend before we were able to build ours... and they ended up building a completely difference fence.. So we havnt been able to build ours yet. The reason im building my fence is because of my DOG, and yet they built a fence that is a foot above the ground, and I have a puggle (small-medium sized) that can EASILY walk under the fence into their yard. So now I can eiher build my regular fence on the other 2 sides and have it look stupid or, im stuck building the same as them. What can I put along the bottom to cover the gap to keep my dog from getting out?. Remember the gap runs all across the entire fence on all sides

  1. I agree with Chris M

  2. May be easier for you to go out and buy an invisible fence for your dog. If and when you move you can take it with you.

  3. Build the same fence and put a wood boarder around it like a base board in your home.

  4. They make a section of fence that you put along the bottom on the fence to attach, so your small dog can't run under...Actually, not sure what TYPE of fence you guys are talking about, but there are some good ones out there.  Good luck. 5. You could get a roll of chicken wire (they make chicken coops out of it.) and staple the top part to the fence. Then bury it under the grass and plant some shrubs or some kind of decorative grass or other plants to hide the gap. The chicken wire will keep the dog from digging under the fence too. So you might think about putting it all around the fence line. People where I live do this to keep armadillos out of the yard. When its done, you can't even see it.

    Good luck.

  6. Bricks? Well, no, you would need to have a h**l of a lot of bricks...
