How to create a logo for a business?

I'm trying to make a logo , and this is my first time.... So, is it hard to make? and what kind of programs do i need to create it with? Dose it take alot of time to take? I just want to see if a noob like me can make one? thank you

application like photoshop or illustrator can do it. these are professional software and they're expensive but you could download them to try from www.adobe.com i hope this answer could help .. it might take you a lot of time to master them, however to learn how to do a simple thing like logo thing is easy. you can find a lot of help on the web.

If you are running a legitimate business, hire a designer. They know what they are doing. Not to be rude, but just because you have a computer doesn't mean you know how to design logos. I mean, I drive a car everyday but I couldn't tell you how to fix it.

For creating logos you absolutely do not want to use photoshop. Photoshop is a raster based program. Logos require vector format. Raster pixelates, vector does not. Therefore you can put your vector logo on a billboard or a pen and it will still look perfect. You cannot do that with raster based images.
