I've had this sty in my eye for about 3 days now. . I'm going to a birthday party tomorrow and I need it gone or almost gone. . So anything that would help speed up the healing would help.

Anything I can buy over the counter ? Can't wait to a doctor. No insurance, live with bf and away from my family doctor. . Is there any kind of ointment over the counter that I can buy or anything ?

THANKS.

  1. U can buy over the counter antibiotic ointment for that.  If u cant make it to pharmacy, use a damp warm cloth and place over eye.  The heat should speed up the sty process and it will go away.  If u want the sty to go that quickly, i reccommend u place the cloth on the eye for a while. Remove the cloth on the eye for at least 5 minutes and place it again for another 15 minutes or so.  Good luck!!!  Keep doing it until u see results

  2. Best is just to apply a hot washcloth several times a day for about 10 - 15 minutes at a time.

  3. They sell eye drops at Kmart, Wal Mart maybe even target specfically for a Stye. They work great mine was barely noticable after the first day and gone in 2 days after i started them..

  4. My mom just had a sty the other day, She popped it and it went away. Your not supposed to but she did and it was gone the next day. My grandmother told her if she would have rubbed a gold ring on it then it would go away too. Or a black cats tail across it. lol but thats just a old wives tail! I hope this helps!

  5. i have been told by rubbing a gold ring gently on the sty will help..    ask you pharmasist in your local chemist to help i am sure there are eye drops available

  6. The only thing that I've ever found that works for a stye is to boil the kettle, sterilise a cup with the boiling water, and then dissolve about 3 teaspoons of salt in some more boiling water.  Wait for it to become lukewarm and then bathe the stye with the saltwater.  This always worked for me.  You can bathe it 3 or 4 times a day and then before you go to bed.  The salt acts as an antiseptic but unlike other antiseptics it's ok to use saline on your eye.

  7. Well the only thing to do is wait it out
