  1. hi. i used to curl my hair and it turned out ugly to.

    i use either:

a curling iron - start from the bottom of the hair (make sure the strands aren't too thick) and spin it upwards, until it reaches just above the root. be sure not to go all the way, or you'll burn your scalp and it hurts. count for 30 seconds or more depending on how hot the iron is.

then just slowly and carefully spin it back down and voila. once you finished how many curls you want, get a good hairspray, and spray it everywhere.

hair curlers - i bought goody brand hair curlers from shoppers or walmart. they are good because they are spongey and come in various sizes in the package. it is good to be spongey, because if you put them in at night, you'll sleep on them and it wont hurt as much.

so i put them in, again starting from the bottom and work your way up (again don't make the strands to thick). if you want the curls to have full volume, keep them on as long as you can. when you take them off, use hairspray, and spray everywhere.

personally, i love to use my hair curlers better then my curler. but that's just me. hope that helps =D

*btw, my hair is long. it is up to my lower back. but it is layered.

  2. if your hair is long: use a big barrel iron.take a group hairs that is about an inch and clip the bottom of the hair to the bottom of the iron then twist up the iron and repeat through hair.

if hair is short:do same thing only with a thinner iron.

  3. Don’t use a curling iron unless you are like a master at it! I use the foam rollers from Conair, you just have to have your hair wet or dry, put lasting curling mousse on so they don't undo themselves, use the garnier curling mousse, and it works!!!! Anyway then put them in sections and then add the rollers before you go to sleep, I use the large ones but you can use any size. The bigger the looser the curls, the smaller the tighter, and just sleep on them, they're a little uncomfortable at first but so much easier then doing it with a curling iron
