  1. You got a hamster leash? That is so cute.  I didn't know they have them that small.  I have one for my guinea pig.  I don't trim my hamsters nails.  They don't seem to get real long and I would worry about freaking my hamster out and getting bit by him.

  2. Well, hamsters aren't dogs, so get rid of the leash, it must be awfully uncomfortable.

It would be best if you took the hamster to the vet and have the vet show you how to clip its nails. Then, when you have to clip its nail again, clip them yourself because the vet showed you how to.

  3. Walk him to the vet, you could hit a nerve and hurt the poor thing, it could be a bloody mess.

Vets know how to do this more efficiently and professionally, and it is most likely cheap

  4. dont use a leash on a hamster thats not what their meant for. and i dont think your even suppose to cut their nails, they use them for a lot of things. i've never heard of cutting the nails so i would just let go of that idea.

  5. i place my hamster on a belt on a belt sander for about 7 to 10 sec.
