Question:

How to dance at a party without grinding or bumping?

I use to grind at parties, and I found it a bit gross and uncomfortable after I did it a few times. I started doing it reluctantly, and now I'm sick of it. Do not suggest the tango, salsa, or any of those dances, because this is a high school party we're talking here. Suggestions? Just casual dancing or movement will be fine.

  1. Kudos to you for realizing how gross grinding is =D

If I know the song, I'll kind of seductively sing it to him. If I don't, dancing face-to-face, hands around the neck (girl) and waist (guy) is a safe option.

Watch music videos for ideas (Britney Spears, Danity Kane, Jennifer Lopez, etc. etc.).

  2. just dance all out.

guys wont grind with you if your throwing yourself all over the place!

  3. just like put your hands over your head and dance

and then put your hands over the males neck

  4. Good for you for not willing to sink as low as to grind with a guy. :] I went to my high school dance yesterday, and I couldn't believe how many grinding lines and couples there were.

I prefer to just stay with a group of friends and dance with them.  Just move and feel the beat, sway with it, and once you feel comfortable just start dancing and moving.  With a guy, you can also do this sort of thing by just dancing near him.  You don't have to be grinding and getting dirty to have a good time at a dance. :) Good luck.

  5. just move and feel the beat.
