  1. FIRST Unplug it and if you have to leave your car outside in the drive until you have the instructions to deactivate or change the combination.

THe previous person had the right idea, look around on the home unit and see if there is any information about model and/or seril number and any phone numbers or websites to try for correct information.

Even if your car is stolen while leaving it in the drive better than letting someone in through the garage or worse to wait in the garage unti your getting in your car.

Assume they also have your tag number and can find your address or may have already followed you home. A person cant be too careful. Let me know how it goes, please.

  2. To my knowledge there is no way to remotely deactivate a stolen door opener.... what you CAN do, is change the frequency setting on your remaining opener, and the unit itself.  You should have instructions on how to do that in the owner's manual, or printed inside the cover.  Typically, you have a series of pins, which can be toggled.  Since your unit was stolen, don't settle for changing just a couple of pins, change several, and make it random.  ALSO... after doing this, make sure your remote isnt triggering a neighbor's garage door.... because if it is.. theirs will open yours too, hehehe.  If this happens, change the settings again.

Garage door remotes can cost $40 to $100 each.... so they are a 'high theft' item.  Try not to leave them out in open sight in the future, hehehe, its almost as bad as leaving your wallet/purse on the dash.

    Good Luck

  3. Just change the codes. IE the code switches at the bake of you opener and your remote. as long as they are the same it is OK

  4. flip open the cover on the back of the opener and the instructions should take you through the steps
