My daughter had two cats. One was ran over this weekend and since then the other one meows at the door constantly. WE dont let them in because they will not be litter trained and I got tired of p**p all over the house. The one that died was the more dominant of the two. I know she is lonely but she is not snapping out of it either. She just lays around all the time and meows.

  1. You don't let your cats in? Sorry but that is why the cat is dead. How to deal? Meh, I can't even deal with you.

  2. Just let her grieve.

You don't let your cat IN?  It should probably be the other way, where you don't let your cat OUT.  There are nasty diseases out there, and in my neighbourhood racoons.  Racoons kill cats sometimes.

Um, cats don't need to be trained to use the litter box.  They just do it naturally.  Do you clean it?  That's about the only reason why a cat wouldn't use a litter box - because it isn't clean.  You need to clean it every day.

  3. Gosh... just let her in to sooth her, animals grieve just like humans, she is looking for her Friend and needs consolation, maybe just a little extra lap time to comfort her.  Just treat her as your would any friend who just lost their companion. Actually cats are clean animals and I bet if you put a litter box in a corner she will take to the idea!

I am sorry for your loss and your cats loss.
