My husband has been lying in bed all day and every chance he gets up, he feels like throwing up. Does anyone have any tips to help him surpass the aftermath of alcohol? Thanks.

  1. Poor guy! You know a hangover is just dehydration. Maybe next time he can try drinking water while he's getting drunk! I have never had a hangover in all my 30-something years and it's because I always have water in one hand and my cocktail in the other! Hope he feels better!

  2. 1) Prevention is best.

#2) The smart ones usually learn that lesson well before 30.

Men are like dogs, you need to teach him better.

Carbs and fats will help absorb whats left which is likely the problem.

"Working" or sweating it out will also reduce the length of affect.

The idea is to completely metabolize all of it.

    Then repeat step #1.

  3. We are too old to drink that much! lol.

Try alot of water and some tylenol. I know lemonade works for nausea when your pregnant so maybe it would work with a hangover. Or lemon in the water.

Some plain toast, if he gets hungry or crackers. He needs to hydrate himself though so I would push the water.

  4. make lime juice and put some crushed ice,put 2 painkillers in it and let them dissolve.add a lil honey(abt half tea spoon).let him drink more lime juice with ice afterwards

  5. Blue powerade is my cure all. I think it's the sugar that helps the most, so try getting him to SIP (not chug) some sweet drinks

    and sleep it off.

  6. Hot shower or bath.

    Soup

    Water

Ginger Ale.. the fizz is really good for feeling sick.

    Advil or something.

A nap or moving around the house.

  7. HAHA I went through this last week (im 32). I went to work and ended up leaving at noon.

I would suggest eating something greasy. I hate mc donalds but it really did help. I had a quarter pounder and fries.

What also helped was making myself throw up before I ate. .. I know that sounds gross but sometimes its the only thing that will help!  Just get it out!!!!

If water tastes nasty to him, try iced tea.  That goes down easily and it quenches my thirst.

Also, once I ate, I went straight to bed...for a good 3-4 hours.  Once I woke up, I felt much much better and refreshed.  Also, after food, take an aspirin, then nap.
