  1. I know it sounds weird but try meeting people on myspace. Try the mall I know being alone sucks!

  2. everybody else will be in your position

they will all try to make friends

just be nice to them when they approach you

tell them the truth about yourself

you are shy but you want to have some mates

  3. You need to try being a risk taker and take small steps in being more social. Quit thinking about yourself and do some volunteer work. Sports would be good. Regardless of how good you are, get involved in a group sport. It helps you become more confident. All of us have or had an element of shyness.  My son had his first water polo practice. Though he played sports when he was younger, he lost interest, but found swimming and water polo as ways to get physical and meet new friends.. He too is a little on the reserved side.  Take small steps.  Also, try some affirmations to make you more confident.  Practice daily over time and you'll find your like-able.  Good luck.

  4. BE MY FRIEND^^..WE SHALL TALK MANY THINGS..BALLS???IS THAT A WAY OF FINDING FRIEND, I THINK IT'S ONLY FOR FUN,MUSIC,DANCING,DRANK,GOWN,CARS..ANYTH... ELSE..ACTUALLY I HATE THAT..WHY DON'T START YOUR HOBBY SERIOUSLY..BOOKS..THERE ARE SO MANY THE LATEST ONE..GAMES..BEAT YOURSELF..COMPUTER PROGRAMMING?CREATE ONE..THAT'S NOT FUN,HUH???SORRY,BUDDY..

  5. get on yahoo chat you'll talking to people in your own home so u can be comfortable  it works for me

  6. Just think of starting college as a fresh start and a chance for you to be the person you wanna be. You will all be in the same boat and nobody will know anyone else, so make that your advantage and just randomly start talking to people.  Like when you sit next to someone in class just randomly say something to him/her and they'll start chatting back to you.

    You'll be fine :)

  7. suck it in man and get out there. You are 16 and have your whole life to live. I used to refuse to leave my room, but one day decided enough was enough and I had to make the first move towards making friends. You either do it, or have the lonliness forever! It doesn't always go to plan and I am sure you will suffer rejection too, but you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again.

    YOU CAN DO IT!

  8. Whenever you do go out smikle at people and look them in the eye, people will feel more positive about you, maybe join some clubs etc. at college, it'll be hard at first but you'll soon feel better, and remember that a lot of people at college are feeling just the same.

  9. you definitely need a hobby or a sport to do...or get a dog or a pet...

like golf...you can meet new people with the same interest and gain friends

  10. just start casually saying hi to people you see while your out or whatever, they might try to mak conversation with you and you never know you might meet a good friend to hang out with and stop you from being lonely =]

im not really sure though, sounds like a tough one =]

  11. i know how you feel, it's a hard place to be in.

As stupid as my advice may sound, the best way i can think of to deal with it is to socialise in a way that you can. Maybe there is a club in something that you are interested in that you could join.

At school you could talk to the other shy kids that aren't so intimidating.

    i really wish you well.

  12. *sigh*

    u can't

  13. When your at college, you might open up a bit more?  You'll be forced to interact with people more sooner or later.

It's not always YOU that has to push yourself on people, just hang around.  People will come to you, you'll interact and sooner or later you'll find someone who's on your level.
