How to deal with my nightmare neighbour?

im living in a upstairs flat, iv been here for 2 years and the couple living downstairs are phoning the police on every little sound i make such as my young baby crying in the night. i mean ffs what baby doesnt cry, then the other day i got a kitten which cryed for a little while as he was uncertain about the new surroundings, next day i had the rspca nocking my door because downstairs had heard him, iv had enough and need soe advice on wha to do, hes always banging on his ceiling and its making me depressed trying to be as quiet as a mouse, any suggestions?

  1. Oh I am so sorry to hear about the dumb people living under you, you have to explain to them that you have a new child and you live upstairs and your not going to stop living and walking around for their enjoyment maybe even try talking to your land lord about how bad they are and if you have lived there longer he or she will believe your side more, it is a good idea to talk to the person that owns the place first before they do because than it will seem like your the bad person.


  2. Try explaining your situation to them. Other than that, you can always take the evil way out and send complaints...although that may cause tensions to rise

  3. Confront them head on, tell them whats what and make them realise your not a bad person, thats all you can do really, but put it to them and tell them how your feeling and how their actions are making you feel small and confined.
