this has been going on since they moved in 2 months ago. i have approached them several times asking them if they need the police or if they could be quiet so i could sleep.(it usually happens around 5am). this happend the 3rd time within a week. last night it happend at 2am and it was the loudest its ever been so i went over there and you can imagine im pretty pissed off so i ask what the h**l is going on over here. then one of them starts mouthing off to me about how i need to respect her because she's a youth and that im only over there telling them to be quiet because they are black and im white trash and other stuff like that. then she starts saying that there are 8 other people that live there and i cant prove she was the loud one(which obviously is her). after we argued a little bit i just left and called the police. im tired of waking up every morning between 2-5am because of their fighting. i dont want to call 911 all the time on them. what should i do?

  1. Play really loud music over and over again when their trying to sleep.  They'll get the message.

  2. Wow. Lol. My parents yell all the time during the evening, and I walk outside of the house and 2 houses down, you can STILL  heard them. Pretty embarrassing.

You can call the cops, it doesn't matter if you call a million times, the cops are used to it. :) Or you can also gather your other neighbors, and ask them if they are also pissed at The Yelling neighbor. And I would also play loud music so that they would get the idea or what they're causing. Also record them screaming and give the tape to the cops! Good luck!

  3. I had the same problem with noisy neighbors living next to me with screaming children and slamming doors at 3am. After calling the police a few times, I went to my landlord who wrote a formal letter to them addressing the issue. I think it embarrassed them into being more quiet because I haven't really heard anything else since.

I would avoid retaliating with your own noise though. That might just challenge them to be even louder. Then you would get in a war of noise and possibly also get a visit from the police.

    Good luck!

  4. A loaded .22 always seems to work.....No, no violence.

Record the loud yelling when it happens.  Document when it happens.  Call the police and give them the evidence.

    Or move.

  5. don't go over there anymore, you put yourself in danger.  call the cops every time.  If you have other neighbors you could get on your side it's even better.  I had a noisy neighbor we tried to talk to and it didn't work, so I got the neighbors together and they all were complaining but no one would do anything.  So one night we all agreed we would all call and they finally got ticketed.  they were quiet after that!

  6. Call the Police.

  7. Been there. Call the police and document every instance of this nuisance. They don't give a c**p about your well-being, peace or comfort in your home and are flat out being offensive ( considering you've mentioned it several times). Continually call the police. They must address it. Also, be stern with your landlord about doing something about it.

  8. The same thing is happening to me, call 9-1-1 on them enough times that the police will arrest someone...or if you get lucky they get arrested for possession when the cops come.

  9. Call the non-emergency police number each time these disturbances. Either they will stop, or the police will stop them. It is incumbent on you to remain calm, respectful, and non-combative. Allow the police to manage the situation.

Do not call 911 unless it is truly a perceived emergency i.e. the dude it strangling his wife/girlfriend in your sight.
