ok, so ive been shoplifting for quite a while, almost six months now, and i can safely say that i have stolen more then my fare share. i know its not right, but i cant help it. i have been doing it alot more recently, and I think this is because things at home havent been going very well for me, my parents are fighting alot and i dont feel like i get much attention at all. my parents have no idea where i am half the time, let alone about my problems. what are the concequences for shoplifting? do i need help in order to stop?

  1. Actually for me, it took actually being caught in order for me to stop. I was fined 10 times the value of what I took, but the embarrassment was enough to get me to stop.

Most if not all stores will ban you from returning, and if the police are called and you are arrested, it's really up to the judge to decide what happens to you, depending on the value and any past convictions. If it's your first time, you'll probably get off with a fine and probation.

A good pointer when you go into a store is to take a list of what you are going to buy, go directly for those items, and leave immediately. "Browsing" around will only tempt you

    Good luck!

  2. just remember the punishments can be very sever including jail time. It is an unneccesary risk. just think about that. " do i really need to do this?"

  3. just try not doing it again, your learning from you mistake and thats goood, your parents shouldnt be this way.Maybe its time you tell them how you feeel,

    please answer my question:)
