Question:

How to deal with sinus problems?

I think I may be getting a sinus infection or something. My ears are all stuffy, and my entire face feels like it's blown up like a balloon - especially the area right above my eyes and on either side of my nose. I have a stuffy nose and a headache, too. I've never had sinus issues in my life - how do I deal with it? Is it serious enough that I need to see a doctor? Or is there otc medicine I can take? Or is there something else I can do to relieve the pressure?

  2. I strongly suggest a neti pot. I used one for the first time last february when I had a case of sinuitus ( it was so bad I lost the sense of smell). I was really desperate to feel better fast, and willing to try anything that might work, and saw the neti pot on tv. I went to the grocery store and bought one for about $10 in the otc drug section. The one I got had a bunch of salt packs that came with it, but I guess some of them may not. If you use warm water, and do it right, it does not hurt, and you will feel a LOT of relief afterward. It does not cause any drowsiness, or any side effects as it is completely natural. I used mine for a week, and got better pretty fast. I really think a neti pot is worth trying for anyone with sinus problems.

  3. My husband uses this to keep from getting bronchitis, and I use to to cure sinus infections. THere are many kinds of bacteria that live in the sinuses, and this gets rid of all the bad ones!.This is the only thing that really helped me --- my Dr. told me about a sinus wash that will kill bacteria.

    you need

    distilled water

    sea salt

liquid chlorophyll and colloidal silver from the health food store.

in a glass mix 1/4 cup water with a pinch of salt and heat to body temperature.

add 5 drops each silver and chlorophyll and mix.

using a large dropper (like one used for infant medication) drop 2 full droppersfull into one side of the nose while laying down.

Turn the head and let it drain out the other nostril. Be sure to have paper towels handy.

The silver kills the bacteria and there are several hundred kind that can live in the sinus cavities and anti biotics don't get rid of them all.

Do this twice a day for a week, mixing up the mixture fresh each time.

Then do it once a week for maintenance.

There is nothing in this that will hurt you, and it cured me.

I do not have to take claritin, or antibiotics anymore.

    best wishes
