How to deceive the batter?

Question

what are some ways to deceive the batter and make it harder for him to pick up the ball when pitching, besides pitch selection, speed and location. Like things in the delivery and hiding the ball. Details please. Thanks.

a good way to hide the ball is to do a bit of a body turn in the delivery. the 3/4 arm angle is effective in this method. i would not recommend doing what george sherrill does, but turn slightly more than half so your throwing arm is just barely hidden from the batter.

to deceive a better by making it look like you throw faster you should have a good changeup. kind of like the old barry zito he had a fastball around the high 80's but his good changeup and curveball made his fastball look faster

Whan you throw a fastball move the ball around in your glove so it looks like your throwing a curve.
