  1. Take the little dude shopping and let him pick out his own stuff.  Send picture of his new pad, OK?

  2. live plants r nice but hard to keep

  3. add some small Pisces of pipe for hiding in plastic foliage-etc

  4. There are alot of ways you can set up a leopard gecko cage :)

First off though, get rid of the heat rock, as they can easily burn your leopard gecko.  For heat, you should use an UTH(under tank heater), which you can pick up at any pet store.

Also, what size tank are you using?  I'm going to assume you're using a 20 gallon, if you are using a 10 gallon then you'll only be able to fit 2 of the hides I'm going to list :)

    *You'll need a 10 gallon UTH (for both a 10 or 20 gallon tank)

*You'll need a substrate, either reptile carpet, paper towel, or non-glazed tile.  NO sand, woodchips, soil, ect.

*You need a water dish (that you already have)

*Calcium dish ( the lid off a pringle can works well)

*3 hides, 1 on the warm side, 1 on the cool side, and 1 moist hide

*You need a digital thermometer with a probe too, to monitor the surface temperature across your tank.

You can also add grapevines, rocks, ect for them to climb on, just make sure nothing is too high, because they can fall :)

If you have any other questions about any of my advice on leos, feel free to just message me

  5. I hope the heat rock's cord is cut and it is ONLY for aesthetic purposes! Heat rocks are really bad for reptiles as they usually get themselves burned on them.

You can add fake plants, real (that have been sterilized) or fake rocks, bowls, dishes, more hides, etc. Whatever you add just remember you'll have to pull it out and clean it everytime you clean the tank.

  6. Artificial Logs

    Artificial Plants

    Different Colored Sand

    Rocks

    Vines

Make sure you dont just pick up anything for your yard though, that can be really dangerous for your Gecko, buy everything from a pet-store!

    Good Luck!
