Question:

How to decorate spray bottles?

I have a couple of plain plastic spray bottles I want to use to refill with my favorite kitchen cleaners. I want to know if anyone has any ideas as to how I could decorate them to pretty them up so I can keep them on the little shelf over my sink instead of having to put them away under the sink every time I use them. I can't seem to find any really pretty empty spray bottles online or in stores. I dont need anything encrusted in gold, lol....jusdt something pretty. TIA....

  1. I don't know exactly what you mean by pretty--I've bought different coloured plastic spray bottles from dollar stores, some of them look pretty good, like the ones hairdressers often use. If you want to write on them so you're sure what's in them, a paint pen works. Those come in many colours, get them at Michaels or most craft stores. And there is a multitude of stickers out there, some very decorative.

  2. You can use vinyl cling on stickers that can be removed when you need to wash them.  I found mine at the craft stores.  The type I have came on sheets and you can cut out designs, then just like the cling ons you use for glass, you wet the back lightly, but on these you have to take a little liquid soap (regular dish soap works fine) on your finger smearing it all of the way to the edges, full strength then slap them on the bottle.  I also found you can glue metal charms, jewels and other embellishments on them with plumbers goop and they will stick through washings.  You can also paint them, but the new plastics paint for plastics by Krylon only comes in spray form.  But, you can "spray on" a stencil with it.
