  1. it seems like uve misinterpretted how football works...the 40 is a vital measurement but it shouldn't show **** for football. I know of someone who ran a 6.2 40 and ended up startin on varsity his sophomore year. You know why? cuz he could play football. If u truly want to make it in the nfl u have to understand that speed is not the only assest to play wideout. U need run good routes, be able to catch the ball, and can block. I dont think a scout will hand u a scholarship because u run a fast 40 or else he wuld just a track athlete that scholarship. Scouts come see if u can play the game and thats what really matters.

If ur coach says that u have 2 get faster or ur out then u obvously cant do the other things right at receiver.

  2. Increase leg speed and strength. The 'speed dynamics' tapes are good or the MACH drills.

  3. chase you dream man! you have a good idol to look up to. decrease your body fat %, increase strength, and just watch the best of them blaze past defenders. you'll actually learn a lot by watching the fastest RBs and kick returners run. it is a physical objective, but do not forget about the mental aspect needed to succeed. good luck, and hope you make it

  4. Anything you put you're mind to you can achieve so first of all you need to believe in you're self. Then i suggest you watch videos of sprinters e.g. Usain Bolt or Michael Johnson then try a copy their movement then pratice it at home and training but as you grow you're speed will naturally increase but if coach gets on you're back i suggest you get to work soon :) !!!

  5. Take a daily jog around your neighborhood, or into town, or whatever.

Then do agility drills like quick feet, a drill where someone says "quick" and you chop your feet really fast and then they say "slow" and you do a jog, if you didnt already know what that was.

And i don't mean just in practice for the drills. I mean doing 30 to 40 mins. extra every day on them. If you want to take it to the next level, tap something heavy onto both your legs using duct tape and do the jog.
