How to delete all bookmark folders simultaneously?

I have too many folders to use suggested procedure for

editing bookmarks & folders singly. I wish to clear all folders prior to importing a new set.

Click onto bookmarks.  Then onto organize bookmarks.  When the windows opens; go to bookmark folder, click onto folder and when it opens on the right hand, click onto the first item.  Then click and hold down your control key then the letter a on your keyboard.  This will then highlight all items in that right hand pane.  Next on your mouse do the right click and find and hit delete. Or just hit the delete button on your keyboard. Doing this will then delete all of listed items at one time.

On my bookmarks, I have a bookmark folder as well bookmark menu.  So I would have to do each separately.
