How to delete all the files in disk?

How to delete in default drive(windows).When I reformat my pc I want all the files in my default disk(local disk c) to be deleted first before the new files is added after finish reformating.Plz.

well you are clearly installing your hard disk without deleting your files, during instalation of ure windows choose install a new windows and choose format hardisk then all your files will be deleted

you cant do this its good to store the all files in and usb or external hardisk !!! !!!!!

After formatting, the disk is empty. If you want to remove everything it was, and there won't be able to recover it - use low level format, it can be done with hard disk manufacturers utility

Well once you start the installation, it will ask on which drive to install, choose the drive and the next option will be to format it, if you are using the Fat32, then use that option otherwise use the NTFS option. You can quick format it. Then proceed installing. Hope this clears you doubt.
