How to delete movies off of my sony camcorder??

Question

It uses DVD discs.

When i go through all the steps it works, but then when i get to the final step, it says DELETE, DELETE ALL, and something else...cant remember it doesnt let me click on it, it just makes this weird sound and it doesnt let me delete ANYTHING!!

break the disc in 1/2 or scratch it with sandpaper

Only DVD RW can be erased
