  1. It really isn't necessary to delete your Yahoo 360 because of rude messages. There are three 360 features that can help you.

PERMISSIONS: See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/per... for details. Click the "Edit Contact Settings" link on the left side of your "My Page". In the message section, change the permissions to something other than "Everyone in 360". If the permission is currently on "Friends of Friends", then make it something more restrictive like "Friends". You can do the same for your comment areas on your Top Page and Blog, by adjusting the settings for them.

IGNORE: If you only want to block "messages" (not comments) from particular people, go to their 360 space and click the "Ignore" this person link that is on the left side of their Top Page. See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/fri... .

    REPORT ABUSE:

If the person is violating 360 guidelines (http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui... )or Yahoo Terms of Service (http://info.yahoo.com/legal/us/yahoo/uto... , section 6), for example - if adult content is the person's Top Page OR you can see it in their blog and you are under age 18, then send in an Abuse form at

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/for... . You can get to the form also by clicking the "Beta Feedback" link on the upper right corner of your 360 space. Copy the person's web address and then go to the form.

    Please provide the following information:

    * Web address of the Yahoo! 360° page (e.g., http://360.yahoo.com/profile-group of numbers and letters).

    * What exactly happened. Be specific. Do not type in all capitals. But stay on topic - point out the exact violation of Y!360 guidelines or Yahoo! Terms of Service.

If you still want to close your 360 space, see below:

Go to http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/ch... and click the Account Deletion link. If you read through the text, you will find this will also delete all associated services for that account like Yahoo! Mail. I recommend removing any content that you've added to your 360 before deleting your entire account.

NOTE: If a COMPLETELY deleted account doesn't result in a deleted 360 page, contact CUSTOMER CARE by clicking the button at the bottom of this page: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/re... or use the ABUSE FORM at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/abu... . You can also call 1-866-562-7219, 1-408-349-1572, 1-408-349-3300 Hours: 8a-5p M-F (Pacific). It's possible that you won't be deleted COMPLETELY from the user registration database until after 90 days.

    **************************************...

BUT if you don't want to completely lose your Yahoo ID, then I suggest removing all content and information that you added to Yahoo! 360. Make all your settings (basic info, blog, communication, and every module on your "My Page") set to "Friends" or "Just Me (Private)".  The "Just Me (Private)" setting is preferred, but if you don't have that option choose "Friends." Delete all your friends (see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/fri... ). Change the background back to the default version - either called the "custom" or "classic" theme. Then, that's it.

You can't completely get rid of the 360 functionality without deleting your entire Yahoo account (mail, photos, etc.). The second-best option is to make sure no one who you haven't invited can view a feature and make sure that there's nothing there to view.

  2. U can't delete/cancel it but u can make it so that there is nothing there and noone can access it. Just remove all ur friends, remove/delete all blogs, pics, comments. Set it on Private/Just Me, uncheck the Simple URL, change ur name to all asterisks(*) or whatever, and then don't come bk to it, doing so will activate it again. That should do it!
