  1. Make it seem hot, barren, and well... sandy. Try something like:

As I walked, the hot sand rubbed against me. Sand dunes surrounded my as I was in the middle a vast desert. I couldn't countiune. I broke down from heat but knew I had to move on. I crawled. I soon passed out. Every thing was black...

That shows heat, exastion from heat, being alone (barren) and TONS of sand. Hope that helps!

  2. walking across the desert sand at sunset looking

at the amazing colors in the sky and feeling the

warmth of sun leaving the sand beneath my toes....

waking up in the desert feeling the hot sand beneath

my feet early in the morning knowing it will be

    another hot day ahead.....

  3. lost innocence

  4. in hoarse whispers and gasps .

what is the most striking is the dryness of the air ,making it very hard to breathe

  5. I wandered through the deserted desert, feeling the sun's scorching hot rays on my body, the hot blistering sand scratched against my feet. I lusted for water, wanted to feel the cool droplets tingling on my tongue ...

I'm not very good, perhaps something like that ? xD

  6. There are deserts and deserts. Most people think of "the desert" as an enormous sandy beach without the ocean and picture it as blazing hot at all times.

A desert is any place with less than 10" of rainfall per year. Granted, this includes the poles which some people would exclude from the definition. Deserts may be sandy, rocky, or dusty. The humidity may be low enough to make breathing painful or it can be saturated with moisture (theTihama, along the Red Sea). Thje desert may be hot all the time, if the humidity is high; the temperature may drop drastically at night; or it may be quite cold (Gobi).

  7. .......exhausted.....extremely hot....dehydrated...sweaty...alone....

.................and i feel like i'm on a dehydrated beach...................

  8. it is the sound of the wind...Sure, it is hot, but it is hot in the middle of a Midwestern city in the summer. Yeah, the sun is relentless, but the sun shines like that on the beach at the lake...

no, it is the sound of the ever present wind. The whoosh past your ear, the scream through the dried body of cactus. Describe the wind and describe the desert.
