  1. The first thing you need to understand about a jump serve is that you are not doing your max jump, and that jump serves and hitting are very different.  There are 2 kinds of jump serves a spin serve that is effective by its speed and sudden drop...or the float serve which is effective by its floating ability and difficulty to pass.  Both are good serves if done well.  If either one is mediocre, it becomes an incredibly easy ball to pass.

For a spin serve you should try tossing as you start to take your first step.  The toss needs to be high but only about 3-4 metres in the air.  Your swing needs to be HIGH and do NOT follow through with your WRIST.  You need to drop the non hitting shoulder to get max height.  GOOD LUCK!

  2. WORK OUT YOUR ARMS AND PRACTICE LIKE h**l!! practice practice TRY TO EXPLORE DIFFERENT CHANGES OR ADJUSTMENTS THAT WILL IMPROVE YOUR SERVE...practice practice practice...serve 100 times and see how many you get right

  3. make sure that you are on top of the ball enough. start at the 10 ft. line and then as you get it over, take steps further and further back. you'll eventually end up at the endline
