Question:

How to dial internationally from Brazil?

Some websites give 00 as the exit code for Brazil (00 + country code), while others list several codes depending on carrier (0014 for Brasil Telecom, 0021 for Embratel etc). Can someone living in Brazil clear this issue for me please.

Thanks.

  1. I don´t speak English very well, but I'm brazilian and i've called once to another country!!!

So you can call 00+14(or another company) + 55 (code of the country) + the telephone.....

If I call to Equador, i will call:

    00 + 14 + 593 + 701065984

Generaly the country codes have 2 numbers!!!

  2. 00 to dial international.

then you have to add the carrier, which can be:

    14, 15, 31, 21, 23 and a few others.

At www.anatel.gov.br you get the fares. Some are cheaper. When I was there I used 21, it was cheaper for the US.

then the number. so if you are calling say, New York:

    00 21 1 212 number (1 for the US - 212 for NYC + the number).
