How to die hair fom dark to very light?

Question

is it possible? do i have to bleach my hair first? or.. what

my hair (in the pic) is a dark brown, its a lil lighter now but i wanna dye it to either a harsh red or a gingery yellow

no rude comments, i really dont care i you do or dont like it. if you dont, good for you, we have different tastes :) however i love these colour hairstyles.

in advance, NO i'm not trying to be a hayley poser. i sipply like the hair colour, i style my own hair but i do love the colour.

If you go to a professional, they can do it in just one sitting.

Probably by bleaching, then dyeing.

But if you do it at home, with like box dye, then you'll have to dye it about three to four times to make it light enough. And keep the dye in longer than supposed to.

I went through the same thing.

well depending,,, you may have to strip the colour out of your hair, talk to a hairdresser, and yes you would have to bleach your hair first... its a pain, but if you bleach it it may go ginger anyways, mine did

a good way to get it blonde is your bleach ad peroxide (40 vol) and then get a tinting cap and hook and ude them to make it go blonde and look natural .... and to make it red use lightner on your hair and then dye it so it goes a more dramatic colour
