How to disable TCP/IP properties (urgent plz)?

hi

i am using win XP SP2,working in LAN & using Administrator account.

i want to disable other user from changing my ip from local area connection so that none other can change my ip or can view ip. please tell me any configuration. i am not going to use local account & my administrator accounts password will remain blank

  1. If you leave you password BLANK the solution the guy above me gave won't make a difference.

    You have to edit the group policy and edit these settings:

    If you leave you password BLANK you will have to also enable the

    "Enable network connection settings for administrators"  option. Then it takes away the properties box.

  2. First you setup password for your admin account.

    Then go to My Computer --> Rt Click --> manage

    --> Local Users and Groups --> Users--> Rt Click on other users each at a time --> Select Properties --> Click Member Of --> Remove Adminsitrators and Add as Users.

    This will block others from changing adminsitrative settings

  3. go to start menu and select control panel , click on network connections, in that u can find the icon named as "local area connection" right click it and select the properties in that "internet protocol (tcp/ip) double click that.

    and select use the following ip address. now u can change the address what u want . be careful because u streaming in network. good day.....
