How to disable USB storage devices in Windows XP ?

  2. right click on them in the tray (bottom right) and click stop.  A window should come up, click stop again on the items you want to stop.  Then remove the device.

    If windows says the device cannot be stopped, then turn the computer off (start -> shutdown, do NOT pull the plug or you could corrupt the data on the storage device), then unplug the device, then turn the computer back on.

  3. Hai it is quite easy.

    1> Just left click on your device which you can see at the right side of your screen.

    2> You can see option that is safty remove hardware.

    3> Select it and you will get mesage that your device is safe to remove.
