How to disable macrovision?

You are trying to play the DVD through your VHS recorder.

Marcovision only affects VHS recorders by putting rubbish in the  empty part of the signal.

Connect your DVD player directly to the TV.

If you have a computer you could remove the macrovision with DVDdecrypter  and burn a new DVD but this is more frustrating than you would think.
