How to disinfect tubes for hamster cage?

how can i clean them out safely with out hurting my two boys? thanks

  1. I use milton sterilizer that you use to sterilize babies bottles to clean my rabbits watter bottle and plastic toys, it is totally safe and has the same affect as bleach.


  2. i would try bleaching them out and rinse them out 4 or 5 times and air dry them in the sun

  3. You can get "Clean Cage" disenfectant from Petsmart, it smells nice and it cleans out safely. If you can't get that, white vinegar works fine. Just make sure you dry the tubes out completely.

I get a small amount of not that strong dish soap.put some on.get a clean cloth and put some slow running water on the tubes while under the stream of water.clean with the cloth as good as u can.Vinegar is good too.But i use weak dish soap.Hope i helped!.....PS:Baby shampoo is very weak and it works good.And it wont hurt your two boys.Good luck!

  6. Vinegar is completely safe. Dish washing liquid is safe if you rinse it well.
