How to display mini cupcakes at party?

I am having an Alice in Wonderland Party this summer and want to make mini cupcakes and cookies all bright and say EAT ME on them.. now I am wondering how to display them in a nice way that maybe I can even use them as a centerpiece. I do not have a cupcake stand type thing I was wondering if I could make one or if that might not be possible... Also any other ideas would be great exspcially if it fit into the theme

If you would like to fashion your own little cupcake stand, it's easy with just a dinner plate, bowl, and salad/dessert plate.

Just place your dinner plate on a flat surface, turn your bowl upside down (you should affix it in place with a little tacky putty), next place your smaller plate on top of the bowl (again, hold it in place with a little tacky putty).  Ta-da!  

If you can't find a bowl that's tall enough, consider using 3 glasses.  You could even go to the dollar store and buy the plates and bowl/glasses if you don't already have some that would work.

Come to think of it, perhaps using a wide jar would work even better...you could fill it with little candies or whimsies to match your theme.  If you bought the stuff at the dollar store, I would even consider hot-gluing it.

You can make one from different sized cups and plates - stack them largest to smallest and use a hot glue gun to secure them.  

This is cheap and it would work too.

You could get a deck of cards and glue them down to make it more decorative.

Display them on tiers that have 3 or 4 steps. Make little playing card soldiers and place them on top of each cupcake (like they are guarding the tiers or the the queen). At the very top have the Queen of Hearts "sitting" on her royal throne (the largest and most decorated cupcake).

go to your local craft store and buy a large and a small cake pedastal. next buy come paper doileys and some colorful sprinkles and powdered sugar. take the large cake pedastal, place a doiley on it, the put the small one on and put a doiley on it. next mix the sprinkles and sugar and sprinkle it all over the doileys. place the cupcakes on and you're good to go.

Have a a vase with colorful flowers in the center of the table. Have the little cupcakes surround the flowers. That would be so cute. For everyone you can already have a place set for them and you cna put a single cupcake on their plate.

An easy way to display anything on a plate would be to use bricks, telephone books or anything with height that could be covered with a plain colored napkin or the table cloth to make plate stands. Place plates on these make shift stands at different levels to make things look more interesting when displaying the cakes and  plating different foods. You can also use plain glass bricks which are nice enough to use uncovered when using as a stand. Decorate in between the plate stands with the flowers or glass beads of various colors or things reminiscent of Alice's journey through Wonderland.

i just use two tea cups and three different size plates..put a large plate on the table and then tea cup then a smaller plate and another teacup in the middle then add one more smaller plate...It's free and it looks cute.

You could make a medium-size sign- a square, rectangle, or circle-  write “eat me” on it-  then surround the sign with the mini cupcakes.  You could easily decorate the sign with stickers, lace, ribbon, buttons whatever.   Or you could make several small signs- fold thick paper in half so it will stand up and write “eat me” on the front facing side.  Then, you could put the cupcakes in clusters around the signs.  Michael’s has cute placeholders and picture frames too for the signs-  look in the wedding section.

Buy some cake towers at your local craft store. If you buy the kit then you kust put the rod in the middle and set on the table and add your cupcakes. try michels craft store they have them in all sizes and are pretty cheap! I use them for hoilday parties and it looks great!!!
