Back in college, I worked at The Limited for seasonal. They then offered me permanant status but always scheduled me during time I have class. I told the manager that I can't work and I have to quit. I gave her the 2 week notice. But for the next two weeks, they are again scheduled during my class time, therefore I could not come in on all occasion. On the last day, the manager called me and said I can never work for them again and it's in my record. It's a big deal since The Limited is connected to Express as well as Victoria's Secret. I dont plan on retail career, but it sucks to know how one person can put a label and end my retail career like that. I am just looking up on what I can do. I also learned today that the manager was let go shortly after me.

This may be irrelavent, but she was 20, and quit the same college that I attended to be the manager of this clothing store. The job was important to her, but it seems like she expected me to have the same standard rather than putting my education first.

  1. contact the corporate HR department and explain the same as you did here. state facts only do not get into what you think the manager thought or that the manager quit school etcetera. keep this is about you, how you were treated, scheduled  and nothing else.

by stating facts about what you did and why and how the termination was handled will give the HR department all the facts they need to make a determination and they may decide to change the status.

there is nothing else you can do if they decide to leave you as a no rehire that is their right to do so.
