  1. Nail Polish remover should't hurt the lense

  2. There's this stuff in a Windex-like spray bottle called "Dissolve-It" that is a real miracle worker when it comes to removing anything glue-based. It also comes off pretty easy with a damp paper towel, despite leaving a slight greasy spot at first. Just be sure not to get it on the part that you recently fixed!

  3. Acetone can dissolve some plastics.  I would not recommend using it on your plastic lens.

If you care about the glasses, you might have to take them to an optometrist for advice; they may even, if they're feeling generous, clean them for no charge.  Or they may be able to recommend a product, based on what plastic(s) the lens are made of.

  4. I agree with answer number one: Nail polish remover--or straight acetone. You may want to check with a place that you purchased your glasses to make sure it's not going to ruin any type of finish that you may have on your lenses. Good luck!

  5. This was answered previously.  Check this out, I don't think you want to use Acetone.
