How to do I get rid of a unpleasant spirit dwelling in my house?

My dogs are being ran out of two rooms only a night by a spirit. It has been making the dogs growl and whine and then ran out. What do I need to do?

Go to the affected rooms and tell them in a forceful tone to go to the light.  Tell them that they are dead and they don't belong here anymore.

Wow - I read 19 answers, and decided to add my own, afterwards. . . amazing that sooooo many folks turn to (seek out) some 'religious' answer to this type of information . . . some of us are certainly still in the dark ages of the soul, it appears - and are still attributing unexplained, unusual events to some 'dark' or evil spirit energy . . . so . . . if and when folks begin to accept responsibility for their own actions and reactions - and become balanced with the reality of this physical universe, these 'ghostly' fears will subside. We are all subject to one another's imaginations, and the products of same - I would suggest that you explore the natural possibilites - as the root of your pets' perceived problem, and follow thru accordingly. . . If their nite time behaviors continue to cause you or them angst? Your option is always - to relocate. . . first of it depends on what the spirit is like. is it physical as in violent? or is it surpressing unwanted emotions that overwhelm out of no where? either way i would go to a local church and talk to the minister, ask questions,  then ask for a blessing on your home, keep crosses and bibles in your home, if conditions become worse get a medium (physic) if the spirit makes itself to be demonice get an excorsicm as soon as possible. if that does not work move out

The ghost can't live there if you don't want it to. Kindly ask it to leave.  If it refuses, tell it it can stay if it will not bother you or your dogs, nor any member of your family. Otherwise you will have to get a priest to bless your house.

First I want you to know i am not saying you don't have a unpleasant spirit in your house, as you very well may have. Second I want you to understand that animals have very strong senses that can pick up things we would never pick up with ours.

I am a paranormal investigator and i can't begin to tell you how many times we have come across people having this very problem. only a few times has it been something that couldn't be explained away. I will give you a list of things we have found that can make a pet become uneasy in certain rooms of a house, that we have found and maybe it will help.

1. a snake in the wall

2. some kinds of house plants

3. a possums under the house in that area.

we had one dog that would almost rip the drywall down to escape a room a fly was in. later found out from a vet that often times dogs will chase a fly to play with it and if it is a biting fly and bites them in a tender spot they will behave this way anytime they hear a fly.

From what you said about it being at night i would rule out the house plants but at night some wild animals nesting under that room will come back at night and nest. checking under the house may fix your problem.

If after ruling out all options and being that it only effects the dogs and has not shown any malious toward you or family i would call a priest and have your home blessed. has worked very well in the 30 plus years i have been doing this.

Ask yourself this: how do you know it is a "spirit" affecting the dogs? Certainly the dogs didn't tell you this, nor did you see the "spirit". So why do you believe this?

Dogs are pretty sensitive animals -- not to the supernatural, but to the natural. They sense things we cannot due to their heightened auditory and olfactory acuity. They can be sensing mice in the wall, an animal outside, a sound from next door... any number of things. This is normal dog behavior, not supernatural ghost behavior. My dog certainly has acted like this before and there was no reason to think that it had anything to do with the supernatural.

Its as simple as this. Tell the evil spirit to go to the light. You know most dead people/evil spirits do not know that they are dead. So they will still wonder around their house that they used to live in. Or you can also tell the spirit to leave the house. That he/she is not welcome. Hope it helps. Good Luck!

My cousin is about to have her home blessed because of something similiar. You need to speak to a religious official. They can bless the house for you. It's not a good idea to invite psychic mediums into the home, for they can anger and stir up spirits.

make sure to self protect first.  put white, gold and then purple light to cover you completely. next, open the windows it these rooms.   next say 91st psalm aloud.  next spray holy water, or, amonia and water into the corners of the rooms that are disturbed.  now command the spirits that are disturbing the environment to leave and go towards the light of the holy spirit, in the name and by the blood of jesus.  tell them they were not invited and are not welcomed there.  tell them to go and never ever come back.  then light a white candle.  close the window.  and go wash your hands in cold water.  you should notice a difference.  you can email me if you need more info.

An alternative reason for this is that it is a poor soul that needs prayers done for him/them. Say prayers for that spirit.
