  1. well if you know anyone that may be able to spot you then you can get him/her to help you and then keep getting that person to spot you lighter and lighter untill you do it on your own or maybe just watch a back handspring tutorial video on youtube.

    and good luck =]

  2. well for me it was easier to learn because I had a trampoline, but remeber to always have someone to spot and, and have a mat so if you do fall, you wont break your neck!

    it takes alot of practice

    so dont give up!

  3. i don't think you should try it at home... if you absolutely can not wait, have someone there that is able to spot you and put some mats down. When i was learning back handsprings i landed hundreds of them on my head..its was not fun.

  4. DO NOT TRY AT HOME.

    NEVER, EVER.

    Trust me!

You can go to an 'open gym' at a local tumbling, acrobatics, or cheerleading gyms.

There you will have the spring floor or the long tumbling track.

At home all you have it hard grass.

My allstar cheer friends know people who cant do BHS anymore because they tried at home and messed up their backs.

    DO NOT TRY AT HOME.

If you are DEAD set on learning at home you HAVE to learn WITH a spot.

    Please trust me.

  5. do u have a trampoline? that would help and if you don't then practice in an open space on carpet make sure someone is there spotting or at least watching you just in case.

make sure to keep your arms straight and get a lot of power (if not on trampoline) and jump then arch make sure your hands come down before your feet.

  6. Hey, I just found this cool website that may help you out.

    http://www.expertvillage.com/information...

It has alot of cool cheerleading information in video form.

Good Luck...never do the stunts alone.
