I mean when I get into my bridge position, and kick off I either fall to the side, get up in the air, but then fall back into my bridge thing, or I fail miserably. What do i do? I mean I cant go into my bridge and kick over at the same time, or maybe i can...please help!

I taught my self how to do a bridge, and now I'm trying to learn how to do a hand stand, and the kick over rofl.

  1. A back walkover should be done in one motion starting with a pointed foot, going into a bridge and kicking over without stopping. Since you are just learning it is easier to start in a bridge and kick over. Do a back bend, then place your feet on a box or something sturdy that is higher than the ground. This will make kicking your legs over easier. Gradually, you can make the box you are using smaller and smaller until you are able to do it from the ground. When you are ready to try a walkover, keep your front leg straight and pointed, and begin to lift it just before your hands touch the ground (this will give you better momentum).

Remember to keep your arms straight. And don't worry if you don't get it right away, it takes time and practise. But once you get it, it will be fun and easy. Hope this helps :)

  2. well i start out with my foot pointed and go back and just when you hands are about to hit the ground kick very hard like you angry at someone stay tight and dont give up good luck
