How to do a case study?

How to do a proper case study? is it required to paraphrase like literature review?

As an accounting major I am required to do a fair amount of case studies. We have been told that the first paragraph should contain the answer to the case in a straightfoward way. The rest of the case study should not contain too much summary/paraphrasing because it is assumed that the reader knows the case. The case study should be specific and to the point.
