Everytime I do a finisher, he was trying to grab something and then he fell instead.

You have to have the match as a TLC, Money In the Bank or a Ladder match. Then get the ladder outside the ring and hit your opponent with it so in one shot, you will have full momentum. DO NOT STORE it.

Storing your finisher will make it as a fighting style instead. When the bar is flashing, set-up the ladder on either outside or inside the ring. Then knock your opponent down until he cannot get up.

Then go up the ladder and be sure that the bar is flashing. If you are using Jeff Hardy, Mr. Kennedy etc, press the Triangle Button to execute the finisher while standing on the ladder and your superstar will do the move.
