I am working towards being the lead role in Swan Lake at my dance studio this year. I was Coppelia last year but didn't have to do too much. Swan Lake, I have heard, requires 32 or so fouette turns. I can't even complete 1 or 2 without falling off balance. It gets pretty frustrating. Do you have any advice on how to make my fouettes better where I can do a lot of them without losing by balance? It's wierd too because I typically have very good balance...just not on any type of turns.

  1. Consecutive fouettes are hard.  This site may help.
